Is there a good p2p software which is fast and dependable?
BitTorrent seems to be the most popular. There are many utilities for accessing it which you can read reviews on and download from C/Net. I've included links in the source box. The FAQ and or Wiki pages below are probably the best place to start.
The FAQ page recommends other BitTorrent clients that are not listed on the CNet review site and provides links to them.
I havenp2p software't used BitTorrent personally; however, other StumbleUpon members who provide excellent information are the source of the FAQ link below and highly recommend it. It is also the program I consistently come across and for which I see the most searches.
I included a link to a compnetworking review article. Definitely avoid Kazaa as it is spyware.
Thank you very much for your comments. I have tried limewire, morpheus, bitcomet, and kazaa, bp2p softwareut all have trojans and other viruses. Have lost a lot of files while deleting them. Thank you once more.
Ares (I prefer), Kazaa, Limewire
No.
Peer-to-Peer networks are user dependent. You may be able to download popular files relatively fast because there are plenty of hosts.
For less popular files it might takes ages to download a small file and days to download a big one.
