good to hearI have tinnitus but can hear 8kHZ does that mean I have good hearing?

I took an online test and I put my speaker at volume 6/100 and I still could hear it. I'm going to take a real audiogram next week. So should I be worried?
Tinnitus is not necessarily related to hearing loss / noise damage. It can be the result of a problem in the ear, or it can just be from over-active neurons in the auditory processigood to hearng part of your brain that are firing even though there is no sound stimulus to cause them to fire.

The high frequencies are the first people tend to lose the ability to hear as their ears sustain damage from repeated exposure to noise. It does sound like your hearing is very good if you are able to hear 8kHz fairly easily, so dgood to hearon't worry about your audiogram!
8K is very good for an adult, mediocre for teens.

I think tinitus has little to do with hearing, its more of an infection that causes pain.
NO its means your ringing in your ears r driving you nuts lol best plan of action sleep with the tv on or radio during the day stay around noise
