His jokes about infidelity but then ends it with "im just joking". He is actually a respectable member of the community but not in religious sort of way. What I am saying is that as far as I am concerned he is not some jerk! He is not my husband rather someone else's but he is a man I know from work. At work is where I hear him make these jokes.
NOTE: I am not looking to cheat with him. I just know someone on here is going to play that card. I have always valued myself too much to go that route.
Men often use jokes to subtly covey their secret desires. We use jokes because if our message is interpreted negatively, we can just play it off as a joke rather than something more seriously. Infidelity is not a jcheating man jokesoking matter and the fact this person is joking about infidelity, I say you should pay close attention to what he does because what he claims as a joke may be more than just a joke to him.
What kind of jokes? I mean are they innocent, like, "oh yeah, she's hot. I'd do her" Then does he kinda smirk and giggle like he just knew it would get under someone's skin? Or is it more obscene? That to me is a huge difference. My husband makes jokes like that, the innocent ones, BUT I know he is kidding around b/c I know him and know that he would never cheat.
There is really no way of answering your question with any kind of certainty b/c we haven't seen/heard this guy do this.
He is probably just feeling you out on cheating man jokesthe subject and seeing how you react and if you might be open with such a thing . If I were you I would tell him that his jokes make you feel uncomfortable and that you are definitely not interested and I would try to start a log or always make sure you have a witness each time and if it continues and he just will not stop and it really bothers you , file sexual harrassment charges with your company rep .
I'd be watchful...especially while on the job Jokes about infidelity can border on sexual harassment. He might not be an obvious jerk, but remember people can show different faces at different times.
Sounds to me like he's throwing out the line to see if he's got any takers.
